Universal Tap

The universal HSS tap is designed to meet the requirements both in machining workshops and for maintenance work or DIY projects. Made of high-speed steel (HSS) and subjected to a hardening heat treatment, the product reaches an optimal hardness of HRC 60-62, ensuring high wear resistance and keeping the cutting edges sharp over a long service life.
Designed in accordance with quality standard DIN 352, the tap ensures the production of accurate, burr-free internal metric threads.
The flute geometry allows fast and smooth evacuation of metal chips, significantly reducing the risk of tool jamming or breakage during the operation.
It is recommended for machining unalloyed and low-alloy steels, cast iron, aluminium, brass, copper and various hard plastics.

Use the product only for its intended technical purpose, together with the specific threading tools and holders (tap wrenches).
Always use a correctly sized pilot drill bit for the thread pitch and use suitable cutting / threading oil or lubricant to prevent seizing.
Handle with care and periodically reverse to break the chip. Applying excessive force or incorrect alignment may lead to tap breakage in the workpiece.
Wear safety glasses and suitable gloves during machining operations.
