Acest tip de surub se utilizeaza la fixarea tablelor metalice pe schelet metalic pentru acoperis. Este executat prin deformare plastica din otel carbon si echipat cu saiba din otel si cauciuc EPDM, pentru a preveni infiltratiile de apa.
Surubul prezinta un pas fin al filetului si un varf normal, capabil sa realizeze gauri in table subtiri astfel ca operatiunea de fixare nu necesita o perforare anterioara a materialului.
